NCC aims to provide necessary military training to students of KVs of Defence sector and motivate them to join Armed Forces. At present 14352 students of KVs participate in NCC activities. NCC was introduced in 107 KVs in early 70’s. There are 228 KVs from various regions where NCC has been allotted and the training is going on. At present there are 14352 cadets (9408 Boys and 4944 Girls) in the 228 KVs. DG NCC has instructed Jt. Directors at state level to give priority to Kendriya Vidyalayas in allotment of NCC.
